Now that spring is finally arriving, the hard working volunteers with the KL Hospital Auxiliary in Nelson will be spending time at the hospital getting the gardens ready for summer. Many volunteer hours are spent every year on these gardens and flower boxes. The Auxiliary believes beautifying the exterior of the hospital makes it a better place for both patients and visitors.
As one patient said who was spending his 43rd day in the hospital, “sitting outside among the flowers is a real blessing and has helped lift my spirits”
